January 2006

The IJA editorial staff wishes our readers, subscribers, authors, reviewers as well as our helpful partners in the Society of Israeli Aquaculture and Marine Biotechnology (SIAMB), a very happy New Year. We are proud and grateful for their contribution to the IJA without which we wouldn’t have been able to publish all of our 2005 issues on time. Based on the steady flow of new articles that are submitted to us we also hope to continue our success in the coming year.

In 2006 we plan to publish a Special Issue in Vol. 58(3) with the proceedings of the BARD Workshop on “Aquaculture Genetics – Status and Prospects” that will be held at the Dan Panorama Hotel, Eilat, Israel. More information concerning this event can be found in our SIAMB link at http://aquaculture.ocean.org.il/welcomebard.html. IJA subscribers will benefit from this larger issue at no extra cost. This issue will also be available for others at the following price:

$15 for SIAMB members

$25 for non members

Our regular and new subscribers are kindly invited to send their pre-payments as soon as possible. Please note that although foreign checks are accepted, due to the outrageous commission deducted ($15) from foreign checks by banks in Israel we kindly request that payments be done by credit card or direct bank transfers at our IJA bank account:

Israel Discount Bank (no. 11)
Eilat branch (no. 003)
Account number- 581011
Swift code-I.D.B LILIT

If payment is by check please add $15 to cover additional bank charges.
