Goals: Promoting research in aquaculture and marine biotechnology, as well as encouraging scientific publications, education and instruction in aquaculture and marine biotechnology research with emphasis on their relation to the Mediterranean basin.

Resolutions of the 1st General Assembly (February 22, 2004, in Eilat):

  1. Nominations:
    President: Dr. Benny Ron, (NCM, IOLR, Eilat)    
    Treasurer: Dr. Bill Koven, (NCM, IOLR, Eilat)
    Mr. Dan Mires,
    Editor in Chief of the Israeli Journal of Aquaculture-Bamidgeh (IJA).

  2. The annual General Assembly of SIAMB will be annexed to the Dan Popper Symposium held annually in Eilat. Other activities will be decided upon by the Secretariat (to be appointed).

  3. The International Scientific journal, IJA is the official publication of the SIAMB.

  4. The SIAMB will endeavor to support the IJA and will contribute to the achievements the Journalís Scope and Aims. Further information concerning the bylaws of the society.
